FeNAILP Turismo meets with Minister Mazzi to discuss industry priorities

FeNAILP Turismo representatives met with Italian Tourism Minister Gianmarco Mazzi to discuss key priorities for the sector. The meeting took place at the Colosseum Archaeological Park during a ministerial initiative titled ‘Why Italy is a Tourism Economy! Manifesto for the Future’.

National President Marco Sansiviero and National Secretary Mario Arciuolo presented proposals aimed at strengthening business competitiveness and fostering balanced growth. Key issues raised include the need for investment in modernizing accommodation facilities, addressing the shortage of qualified personnel, and strengthening Destination Management Organizations (DMOs).

The association also emphasized the importance of seasonal de-concentration and providing incentives for less-developed tourist destinations to expand economic and employment opportunities beyond peak periods and major hubs. Sansiviero stressed that the tourism sector requires industrial policies that support investments and employment, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.
