Fenasbac and Central Bank host 4th 3F summit on sustainable finance

The fourth edition of the 3F event (Future, Finance, and Forests), organized by Fenasbac with support from the Central Bank, brought together regulators, financial institutions, and specialists to discuss sustainable finance. The discussions focused on four key dimensions: regulation, finance, innovation, and sustainability.

The event addressed the role of regulatory authorities in transitioning to a sustainable economy, the risks and opportunities of financing this shift, and the convergence between the productive sector, the financial system, and supervisory bodies.

A central topic was the Brazilian Sustainable Taxonomy (TSB), a classification system designed to guide investors and financial institutions in identifying economic activities aligned with environmental and social goals. Following its establishment by decree in November 2025, the first edition of the TSB entered its implementation phase in April 2026, including testing notices for banks, asset managers, and listed companies. Additionally, the panels discussed the Central Bank’s annual report on social, environmental, and climate risks and opportunities.
