Fender releases Japan-inspired Stratocasters and Erino Yumiki signature model
Fender has announced two significant new releases for the Japanese market. The company has launched the ‘Made in Japan Limited Japan-Inspired Collection Stratocaster’, a series of five limited-edition guitars themed around Japanese aesthetics: Kyoto, Samurai, Indigo Denim, Ninja, and Matcha Green.
The collection features unique designs, such as the Ninja model with a custom aluminum pickguard and shuriken-inspired inlays, which reportedly sold out quickly on the official online shop. Other models include a Kyoto Orange version inspired by traditional architecture and an Indigo Denim model utilizing actual Japanese denim fabric on the body.
Additionally, Fender is releasing the ‘Erino Yumiki Stratocaster’, the first signature model for the guitarist and singer-songwriter. Scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, the guitar features a custom Yellow Pearl finish and a body designed to be approximately 5mm thinner than standard Stratocasters to improve playability. The model includes newly designed noiseless and humbucking pickups to accommodate Yumiki’s diverse musical range.
