Fendt and Steyr launch new tractor series for diverse agricultural applications

Agricultural machinery manufacturers Fendt and Steyr have introduced new tractor series targeting different farming sectors.

Fendt has launched the 600 Vario series, positioned between the 500 and 700 Vario models. The lineup includes four models—the 614, 616, 618, and 620 Vario—offering power outputs ranging from 149 to 224 hp. These tractors feature a newly developed 5.0-liter four-cylinder AGCO Power CORE50 engine designed to deliver performance at lower RPMs to reduce fuel consumption and friction losses. Mass production of the series began in summer 2024.

Steyr has returned to the specialized tractor market with the Spezial F CVT range. Designed for orchards, hop cultivation, and other high-value perennial crops, the series includes three models with maximum power between 100 and 120 hp. The tractors utilize the Steyr S-Control CVT transmission, allowing for efficient operation in tight spaces and difficult terrain, reaching a top speed of 50 km/h at 1780 rpm.
