Fenerbahce signs Ghana defender Kojo Peprah Oppong from OGC Nice

Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce has announced the signing of Ghanaian international defender Kojo Peprah Oppong from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice. The deal is reported to be worth between €10 million and €12 million on a four-year contract.

Oppong, 22, joins the Turkish side following a period in France where he made 43 appearances across various competitions, including the UEFA Champions League qualification. He expressed excitement about the move, stating that he seeks to constantly improve his game, specifically regarding his long balls and reading of the play.

During his unveiling, Oppong noted that discussions with his Ghana national teammate Alexander Djiku, a former Fenerbahce player, influenced his decision to join the club. He also expressed admiration for club legend Stephen Appiah.
