Fenerbahçe Secures 2-0 Win Over Sturm Graz in Champions League Qualifier

Fenerbahçe defeated Austrian side Sturm Graz 2‑0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third‑qualifying round at Istanbul’s Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium. Anderson Talisca opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and Mason Greenwood doubled the lead just before halftime.

The victory gives the Turkish club a first‑leg advantage ahead of the return match in Graz on 11 August. During the game, Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde suffered a partial adductor tendon tear and is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Police also arrested two individuals for attempting to sell match tickets on the black market before the game. Fenerbahçe, aiming to return to the Champions League after an 18‑year absence, will look to protect their lead in the second leg.
