Konyaspor protests referee decisions in Süper Lig matches

Konyaspor management has officially expressed strong dissatisfaction with refereeing decisions in the early weeks of the Süper Lig. The club highlighted grievances from their recent match against Çaykur Rizespor, specifically a late penalty decision, as well as errors made by both the head referee and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) during their 4-2 defeat to Fenerbahçe.

Konyaspor stated they are not using refereeing as an excuse for losses, but they are committed to defending the club's rights and ensuring fair play. The club intends to submit formal reports, including video footage and technical analyses, to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and the Central Referee Committee (MHK) to demand a review of referee performance and the application of consistent standards across the league.

In the Fenerbahçe vs. Konyaspor match, Marco Asensio scored a goal but was substituted in the 68th minute. While rumors of tension with coach İsmail Kartal circulated, Kartal clarified the substitution was due to injury concerns. Additionally, the match saw significant performances from Mason Greenwood and Vedat Muriqi, while Kerem Aktürkoğlu was briefly sidelined due to a head injury following a collision.
