Fenerbahçe bolsters volleyball roster for 2026-27 season

Fenerbahçe Medicana's women's volleyball team has significantly bolstered its roster for the 2026-2027 season, aiming to reclaim the CEV Champions League title. Key players, including captain Eda Erdem, Gizem Örge, and Arina Fedorovtseva, have expressed high expectations for the squad's depth and competitive rotation.

Under head coach Stefano Lavarini, the team features a high concentration of international talent. The roster includes specialists such as Ana Cristina, Arina Fedorovtseva, Hande Baladin, and Saliha Sahin on the wings, while Sinead Jack-Kisak and Chiaka Ogbogu join Erdem in the middle. Libero positions will be contested by Brenda Castillo and Gizem Örge.

Due to Turkish regulations limiting simultaneous foreign players to three, the team relies on naturalized athletes like Melissa Vargas and Jack-Kisak to fulfill local quotas. Erdem noted that the increased competition for positions is expected to improve training quality and overall team performance.
