Fenerbahçe locă dispute: Acun Ilıcalı sues club over cancellation by Aziz Yıldırım
Fenerbahçe announced that the stadium box (loca) previously used by former vice‑president Acun Ilıcalı was cancelled and will be repurposed as a “President’s box” for future club presidents. Ilıcalı responded with a written statement, alleging that he had paid the contract fee in advance and that the termination had no legal basis. He accused President Aziz Yıldırım of personal retaliation, saying the decision was “a product of personal ambition and illegal actions” and announced he would pursue legal remedies to defend his rights. The club’s spokesperson said the location, situated at the centre of the Chobani Stadium, will now serve the chairman’s office and emphasized that the move follows the new administration’s policy.
The dispute highlights internal tensions within the Turkish football giant but does not affect league competition.
