Acun Ilıcalı and Fenerbahçe clash over VIP box dispute

A legal dispute has escalated between businessman Acun Ilıcalı and Fenerbahçe SK regarding the use of VIP box number 217 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.

Ilıcalı claims that the box was contractually allocated to his company, Acun Medya, and that all fees have been paid. He asserts that the club management unlawfully blocked access and that a court has issued an injunction in his favor. Ilıcalı further alleges that during a match against Konyaspor, the box was rendered unusable under the pretext of 'renovations' despite the court order.

Fenerbahçe disputes these claims, stating there is no direct contract between the club and Ilıcalı personally. The club maintains that Ilıcalı lacks the legal standing to sue and that his initial request for an injunction was rejected by the Istanbul Anadolu 9th Consumer Court. Fenerbahçe argues that a subsequent injunction was granted by a temporary panel in an irregular manner and intends to file complaints with the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).

The club also raised security concerns, alleging that individuals on Ilıcalı’s guest list for the Konyaspor match held Passolig cards associated with rival club Galatasaray. Ilıcalı countered this by stating the individuals in question were actually official enforcement officers and police present to implement the court's decision.
