Fenerbahçe leaders Aziz Yıldırım and Hakan Safi hold summit

Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım and former presidential candidate Hakan Safi held a two-hour meeting at the club headquarters to discuss the future of the organization following their recent election rivalry.

The discussions covered several critical issues, including the contract of Kerem Aktürkoğlu, which reportedly caused previous regulatory issues with UEFA. Safi expressed his intention to continue providing financial and moral support to the club, stating that while they were rivals during the election, they are now united as Fenerbahçe supporters.

A significant portion of the meeting addressed a dispute regarding Safi’s VIP box (loca) and the treatment of his supporters. Additionally, Safi proposed a major involvement in the Maltepe Project, suggesting he is prepared to take over the project if it is not realized by Ali Koç. Safi emphasized a desire to move beyond small-scale sponsorships toward much larger, transformative projects for the club.
