Fenerbahçe leadership rallies team ahead of Konyaspor match

Fenerbahçe leadership and coaching staff have moved to unify the team following a disappointing start to the season, which included a loss to Gençlerbirliği and a draw against Lyon in European competition.

Technical director İsmail Kartal held a private meeting with players at the Samandıra Can Bartu Facilities, urging the squad to “open a new page” and focus entirely on their upcoming Trendyol Süper Lig match against Konyaspor. Kartal emphasized that while Champions League goals remain strategic priorities, the immediate focus must be on securing a victory in Kadıköy to regain momentum in the league.

Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım also visited the training facilities to express his confidence in the technical staff and players. Accompanied by board member Cihan Kamer and General Secretary Mahmut Uslu, Yıldırım stressed the importance of unity and determination in pursuit of the championship. The upcoming match against Konyaspor marks the 51st league encounter between the two clubs, with Fenerbahçe holding a significant historical advantage in head-to-head statistics.
