Fenerbahçe Medicana appoints Stefano Lavarini as women's volleyball head coach

Fenerbahçe Medicana Women's Volleyball Team has announced a change in its coaching staff for the 2026-2027 season. The club has parted ways with Italian head coach Marcello Abbondanza as part of its new season restructuring.

To replace him, the club has officially re-appointed Stefano Lavarini. Lavarini previously coached the team during the 2023-2024 season, where he led the squad to championships in the Sultanlar Ligi and Kupa Voley, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the CEV Champions League. The club stated that Lavarini's familiarity with the organization and his previous successes were decisive factors in the decision to prioritize stability and experience.
