Fenerbahçe plans departures for five players amid foreign‑player quota

Fenerbahçe announced that, due to an excess of foreign‑player slots, it is preparing to part ways with five players. The list includes Serbian right‑back Ognjen Mimovic (contract until 2029), Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, forward Rodrigo Becao and defender Diego Carlos, all of whom have contracts running at least to mid‑2028. The club’s technical director İsmail Kartal is said to be reviewing offers for the players, while senior management will decide on any transfers during the upcoming summer window.

Separately, Galatasaray is set to hold a board (Divan) meeting on 29 July 2026 to address financial matters such as alleged player loans, credit freezes and pending bonus payments, as well as the club’s relatively quiet transfer activity.
