Fenerbahçe Pursues Benfica Striker Vangelis Pavlidis

Fenerbahçe has intensified negotiations to sign Greek forward Vangelis Pavlidis from Portuguese club Benfica. The Turkish side is reportedly prepared to meet a transfer fee of around €45 million, with the player's contract at Benfica running until 2029 and a €100 million release clause.

Pavlidis has been in strong form for Benfica, scoring five goals in three official matches this season, including a penalty in a 6‑1 Europa League win over Hearts. Benfica coach Marco Silva commented on the transfer rumors, describing Pavlidis as a “big professional” who is happy at the club and emphasizing that the team will act within its limits.

During the transfer window, Pavlidis reportedly spoke with Fenerbahçe winger Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who gave positive feedback about the Turkish club and the player's potential adaptation to Istanbul.
