Fenerbahçe searches for new manager amid sporting crisis

Fenerbahçe management is actively seeking a new head coach following a period of poor performance, including only one victory in their last five official matches. The club's recent struggles include a loss to Galatasaray and a scoreless draw against Göztepe.

Club President Aziz Yıldırım and the majority of the board are prioritizing foreign candidates. Potential names under consideration include Julian Nagelsmann, though no positive response has been received from the German coach. Other high-profile candidates reportedly include Sergio Conceição, Ernesto Valverde, Roberto Martínez, and José Luis Mendilibar.

If an agreement cannot be reached with a foreign manager, the board plans to pivot toward domestic coaching options. Former presidential candidate Hakan Safi has called for unity within the club, urging supporters to support the current administration and players despite the nine-point gap in the league standings.
