Fenerbahçe signs Mason Greenwood in record-breaking transfer
Fenerbahçe has completed several high-profile signings during the summer transfer window, headlined by the acquisition of English forward Mason Greenwood. The €39 million transfer from Olympique Marseille marks the most expensive signing for the club in its history, surpassing the previous record set by Matteo Guendouzi.
In addition to Greenwood, the Istanbul-based club has bolstered its squad with several other notable players, including Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, defender Nathan Aké from Manchester City, and the return of Vedat Muriqi. The club also added Ghanaian player Kojo Peprah Oppong to its U23 roster.
These moves come amid increased spending by Turkish clubs as they compete for football prestige. To accommodate new arrivals and comply with squad regulations, several players have departed the club, including Sidiki Cherif, Fred, and Dominik Livakovic.
