Fenerbahçe targets Hector Fort and Josh Acheampong for right-back role
Fenerbahçe is actively seeking a replacement for right-back Nelson Semedo, with the club aiming to reduce its wage bill and comply with the Turkish Football Federation’s 10+4 foreign player rule by recruiting players under the age of 23.
Barcelona’s 20-year-old Hector Fort has emerged as a primary target. Fenerbahçe reportedly intends to propose a loan deal with an option to buy for the defender, who has a contract with Barcelona until 2029. Fort recently spent time on loan at Elche, where he recorded three goals and two assists in 17 matches.
Other candidates on the club's shortlist include Chelsea’s 20-year-old Josh Acheampong, who has a market value of approximately 25 million euros and can play both right-back and center-back. Additionally, Wolfsburg’s Saël Kumbedi is being considered as a potential option for the defensive position.
