Feng Hsiang Dance Troupe launches Ying Feng International Arts Festival in Keelung

The Feng Hsiang Dance Troupe has launched the fourth Ying Feng International Arts Festival at the Keelung Performing Arts Center. The five-day event features diverse dance styles, including ballet, modern dance, street dance, and folk dance.

Keelung Mayor Hsieh Kuo-liang attended the performances, praising the troupe for its 35-year commitment to dance education and its successful transition from a local group to an international-standard organization. He noted the troupe’s recent successful performance in Seattle, USA, and pledged continued municipal support for cultural arts as a key component of the city’s soft power.

The festival, organized by leader Sun Tsui-ling and CEO Hu Liang-liang, involves over 120 dancers per performance and nearly 1,000 staff and collaborators. This year’s program includes themes such as ‘Dance Gathering’, ‘Runners 2.0’, ‘Book of the Sea’, ‘Elite Night’, and the ‘Ying Feng Cup International Gold Medal Dance Competition’. Notably, all tickets for the five scheduled performances were sold out.
