Fenprof considers legal action after Education Minister's exam accusations

Portugal's Minister of Education, Fernando Alexandre, has accused the National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) of attempting to sabotage the digital classification process for national exams. The Minister suggested that the union is bothered by the government's decision to reinstitute payments for teachers involved in the grading process, a practice that had been suspended since 2010.

In response, Fenprof's Secretary-General, Francisco Gonçalves, stated that the union is considering a formal legal complaint against the Minister. The union claims Alexandre's accusations of a boycott are insulting and defamatory. Fenprof maintains that their actions were intended to voice the concerns of teachers regarding the difficulties encountered during the digital grading process, rather than to obstruct it.
