FEPAP-GUI to launch Guinean press federation in Conakry

Private press associations in Guinea have announced the constitutive general assembly of the Fédération Patronale des Associations de Presse de Guinée (FEPAP-GUI). The event is scheduled for October 8, 2026, at the Hôtel Riviera de Kaloum in Conakry.

The assembly aims to structure and professionalize the Guinean media ecosystem by federating press associations to defend their economic and strategic interests. The organization seeks to promote a sustainable environment for the sector and support free, responsible journalism.

Under the patronage of Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah, the event is organized with technical and financial support from the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Guinée (CGE-GUI). During the assembly, delegates will validate founding texts and elect members to the federation's leadership bodies.
