FERATUM International Fantastic Film Festival celebrates 15th anniversary

The 15th edition of the FERATUM International Fantastic Film Festival will take place from November 12 to 15 in Pátzcuaro, with additional activities in Morelia on November 17 and 18. The festival's anniversary edition features a theme honoring Purépecha healers from Michoacán, moving away from European stereotypes to highlight local ancestral wisdom and traditional knowledge.

The programming includes over 100 films from 25 countries, including titles from Mexico, Spain, Chile, and Argentina. Key events include the Marcha de las Bestias on November 13, a parade starting from the Centro Cultural Antiguo Colegio Jesuita. The festival also expands its reach beyond Michoacán, with screenings scheduled for Mexico City, Querétaro, and Metepec via the Cinedot cinema chain.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will host workshops on pitching strategies, gender-focused dialogue tables, and sessions with national and international producers.
