Ferdinand Marcos Jr. receives honorary law degree from PLM

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa, by the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) during its 58th Commencement Exercises at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

During his keynote address, the President reaffirmed the administration's commitment to prioritizing education as a pillar of nation-building. He emphasized efforts to expand access to higher education and technical-vocational training, particularly for disadvantaged and vulnerable sectors. He noted that the Free Higher Education program currently benefits 2.62 million students and highlighted the continued implementation of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education law alongside various government financial assistance programs.
