Ferencváros faces player transfer and security concerns ahead of Trabzonspor match

Ferencváros faces potential roster changes and security concerns ahead of their Europa League playoff first leg against Trabzonspor in Turkey.

Israeli midfielder Gavriel Kanikovszki may leave the Hungarian club. Reports indicate that Maccabi Tel-Aviv has initiated negotiations to buy back the 28-year-old, who has been a regular starter for Ferencváros this season. Kanikovszki has reportedly reached a personal agreement with the Israeli club, leaving only the transfer fee agreement between the two teams to be finalized.

Separately, security concerns have been raised following incidents during a recent Turkish league match. Turkish media reported that fans launched fireworks during a game, one of which struck a five-story residential building near the stadium. The projectile hit a fourth-floor apartment, causing a fire. While no injuries were reported as the apartment was empty at the time, authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
