Ferencváros man detained for suspected drug dealing near school

Police in Budapest's IX. district have detained a 31-year-old man, identified as Zoltán L., on suspicion of drug trafficking. Following resident reports and increased patrols, authorities conducted checks near Ernő Street, where three men tested positive for drugs during field tests.

Investigators determined that Zoltán L. had been selling crystal methamphetamine in his neighborhood and specifically in the immediate vicinity of a local primary school. During the operation, police also detained a 23-year-old male found in the suspect's company, who was in possession of a glass pipe and drug packaging.

The suspect faces charges of drug trafficking in the vicinity of an educational and child welfare institution. Authorities have initiated proceedings against four buyers for drug possession, and they have requested the formal arrest of the primary suspect.
