Ferencváros president defends Fradiváros project funding

Gábor Kubatov, president of Ferencvárosi Torna Club (FTC), has released a video addressing the status of the ‘Fradiváros’ infrastructure project. The large-scale development in Népliget, originally planned to cost 155 billion HUF, could not be completed in its initial form due to external economic factors following the war in Ukraine.

Kubatov stated that the club has utilized the state funding strictly according to government decisions and has accounted for every forint. He emphasized that the funds remained within the club to support athletes and youth development, responding to scrutiny from the new sports government regarding the reallocation of remaining funds for operational purposes.
