Adam Nagy returns to Ferencváros after decade abroad

Adam Nagy, the 88‑time Hungarian international who left Bologna in July 2016, has signed a contract to rejoin Ferencvárosi TC after more than ten years away. The striker said he needed a new impulse and wanted to help the Budapest club fight for the league title and a place in European competition, citing family considerations and the appeal of playing for the club he grew up with.

Ferencváros sport director Tamás Hajnal and the player’s manager Tibor Pataky confirmed that several Hungarian clubs, including Fehérvár, had shown interest, but Nagy’s decision was firm. The transfer required negotiating the termination of his remaining year‑long contract with the Italian side Spezia, allowing him to return home and bring Serie A experience to the Hungarian league.
