Ferencvárosi TC drew 2-2 away against Dutch side FC Twente in the second leg of the Europa League qualifying play‑off, advancing 4-3 on aggregate to the next round where they will meet Poland's Górnik Zabrze. Coach Borbély Balázs praised the team's performance, noting the aggressive attacking style and resilience despite playing more than an hour with a numerical disadvantage.

Following the European success, Borbély highlighted the boost in confidence for the squad ahead of their upcoming OTP Bank Liga match on 2 August against second‑division champions Vasas FC.
