Ferguson Enterprises Joins S&P 500 as Electronic Arts Exits

S&P Dow Jones Indices announced adjustments to its flagship benchmarks in early August 2026. Ferguson Enterprises Inc. will replace Electronic Arts Inc. in the S&P 500, with the change effective at the opening of trading on August 5, 2026. The move follows an acquisition of Electronic Arts by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners, pending final conditions.

ADI Global Distribution Inc. will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 on August 4, 2026, as part of a spin‑off from Resideo Technologies. At the same time, Hertz Global Holdings Inc. will be removed from the SmallCap 600, with its deletion effective on August 5, 2026, because it no longer reflects the small‑cap market profile.
