Tamaulipas implements judicial reforms and institutional updates

Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya announced the first results of a constitutional reform to the Tamaulipas Judiciary. The reform, which began in November 2024, involved the historic election to renew 100 percent of judges to foster independence, transparency, and administrative control.

In related institutional developments, the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) approved new regulations during an extraordinary assembly. These reforms cover the University Rights Defender, the Library System, educational program management, and the operation of Child Development Centers (CENDIS). Additionally, the UAT is preparing a formal agreement with the State Judiciary to allow law students to conduct professional practices and social service within the institution.

Furthermore, the state government held the third session of the Commission on Information Technologies and Audiovisual Content for Children and Adolescents. The meeting focused on protecting minors from digital risks and promoting digital literacy through coordination between public and private sectors.
