Fermata updates video streaming capabilities for Android Auto
The third-party application Fermata has introduced significant updates to enhance video streaming capabilities on Android Auto. While Android Auto does not natively support YouTube, Fermata allows users to access YouTube, Stremio, and Plex on their vehicle screens while parked.
Recent updates include a ‘Continue Watching’ feature for Stremio and Nuvio to synchronize playback positions, improved management of favorites and playlists, and fixes for empty playlist issues. The app also implements a license check every ten launches for premium users and corrects autoplay behavior for YouTube.
Additionally, Fermata Xtream has returned following a period of uncertainty. The developer has released version 1.0.0, which features a completely rewritten codebase designed to improve speed, performance, and stability. This new version supports live TV via IPTV lists and introduces an automatic update system for users installing via AAEnabler, allowing them to receive new builds directly from GitHub.
