Fermin Aldeguer undergoes hand surgery after Mandalika crash
MotoGP rider Fermin Aldeguer has undergone successful surgery on his right hand following a crash during the Indonesian Grand Prix at Mandalika. The accident, which occurred while he was running in fourth place, resulted in a fracture to the base of his first metacarpal.
The surgical procedure was performed in Spain by specialist Dr. Xavier Mir. While Aldeguer expressed his gratitude to the medical team on social media and noted that he is doing well, his participation in the upcoming Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island remains uncertain.
This injury marks a difficult period for the Spanish rider, who has faced multiple physical setbacks this season, including a femur fracture in January and a vertebra fracture in Assen. His ability to compete in the upcoming rounds in Australia, Malaysia, and Qatar will depend on his recovery progress.
