Fermin Lopez rejected interest from Premier League clubs to stay at Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez rejected transfer interest from three Premier League clubs—Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea—during the summer transfer window.

Reports indicate that Lopez’s representatives were assessing available options and held conversations with intermediaries, leading to discussions with the English clubs. However, Barcelona maintained their stance on the player's importance to the squad. Head coach Hansi Flick has identified the 23-year-old as a vital part of the club’s future plans.

Lopez’s emergence has reportedly influenced Barcelona’s transfer strategy, including their approach to Dani Olmo, as the club views Lopez as capable of fulfilling a significant role within the squad without the immediate need for a replacement.
