Fermo hosts culinary and medical debate on food and health

The Associazione Cuochi della Provincia di Fermo, led by chef Guido Tassotti, is organizing a unique event titled ‘Processo al cibo’ (Trial of Food) on October 18 in Fermo. Held at the former covered market, the initiative aims to foster a dialogue between medical professionals and chefs to build a more conscious and balanced food culture.

The event will feature a mock trial format where doctors will argue from the perspective of health and prevention, while chefs will defend culinary traditions, taste, and the pleasure of conviviality. The panel includes regional health assessor Paolo Calcinaro and various medical experts from the Mediterranean Diet Laboratory and the University of Camerino, facing off against international chefs.
