Fermo security concerns raised over lack of ‘Strade Sicure’ participation

Renzo Paccapelo of Confabitare has raised concerns regarding the lack of security in Fermo, noting that the city is the only provincial capital that has not joined the ‘Strade Sicure’ project, which utilizes military assistance.

Paccapelo criticized local authorities for citing personnel shortages while simultaneously opposing the security program. He also addressed the decline of the city's historic center, arguing that current cultural events in Piazza del Popolo lack quality and organic planning, contributing to the desertification of the area.
