Fermo: Severe winds destroy building roof and damage cars

Severe weather and high winds caused significant damage in the Fermo province, specifically in the Casette d’Ete area of Sant’Elpidio a Mare. A powerful windstorm caused the roof of a building on via Confalonieri to be torn off and carried away. The debris struck another residence and subsequently fell onto a street, where it crushed five parked cars.

No injuries were reported as the buildings and vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident. Emergency responders, including the Fermo provincial Fire Department and Civil Protection units, arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Affected homes were evacuated, and the area has been cordoned off for safety.
