Fermosa Biosiderúrgica plant reaches 90% completion in Formosa

Construction of the Fermosa Biosiderúrgica plant in Formosa has reached approximately 90% completion. Officials expect to begin the first operational tests during the month of November.

Camilo Orrabalis, the Secretary of Science and Technology for Formosa, stated that current efforts are focused on the installation and calibration of industrial infrastructure components, including motors and air blowers. The project is designed to utilize local resources, such as charcoal produced from vinal wood being stockpiled in Los Matacos.

Additionally, the first shipment of 6,000 tons of iron ore has arrived in the province to serve as a fundamental raw material for the production process. Further materials are expected to arrive to complete the startup phase.
