Fernanda Botelho to present ‘Levada’ in Rio de Janeiro

Actress Fernanda Botelho will present the dramatized reading of ‘Levada’ on September 16 at the Instituto Cervantes Auditorium in Rio de Janeiro. The performance is part of the III Ciclo de Leituras Dramatizadas 2026.

Written by psychoanalyst Rúbia d’Alessandro, the script explores themes of domestic violence, silence, and sorority through a fictional character investigating her own anxieties and a hidden, violent past. The event, directed by Florencia Santángelo, marks Botelho’s 30th professional production and her first solo theatrical piece.

The presentation will include a discussion between the creative team and the audience. The event is free and carries a 12-year age rating.
