Fernanda Neves campaigns across Rio de Janeiro interior

Fernanda Neves, a candidate for state deputy representing the PDT, has conducted an extensive campaign tour through the interior of Rio de Janeiro. Her itinerary included several municipalities in the Northwest and South Fluminense regions, such as Santo Antônio de Pádua, Itaperuna, Natividade, and Volta Redonda.

During these visits, Neves met with local leaders, former mayors, councilors, and community representatives to discuss regional demands and the specific challenges faced by populations living outside the metropolitan area. She emphasized the need for public policies to be tailored to the unique realities of each municipality.

In Volta Redonda, Neves highlighted successful initiatives from Niterói that could be adapted elsewhere, specifically citing the ‘Aluguel Universitário’ (University Rent) program. This initiative provides financial support to students who must relocate to pursue higher education, aiming to ensure that housing costs do not prevent young people from accessing educational opportunities.
