Fernando Aldana represents Peru in South American Games hockey

Fernando Aldana, an architecture student at UNR, represented Peru in field hockey at the recent South American Games in Santa Fe. Aldana began his athletic journey at a municipal community court in the Southwest District of Argentina.

After starting the sport at age seven, Aldana received a scholarship to Club Atlético Provincial through a municipal agreement. His path to the Peruvian national team began during a 2023 trip to Lima, where he joined a local club and was invited to play for the national selection after a brief demonstration of his skills.
