Fernando Alonso laments Aston Martin woes after Barcelona qualifying

Fernando Alonso told the press that Aston Martin are "last" and that he has "no problem with it", citing a poor‑performing AMR‑26 with a weak engine, aerodynamic shortcomings and gearbox issues. He said the team is exhausted but hopes for improvements in the second half of the season when a new car arrives.

Lance Stroll also vented his frustration, saying he "doesn't care" and noting a 41‑1 record against Alonso in the qualifying session. Both drivers acknowledged the team's struggles but expressed optimism that upcoming upgrades could change the situation.
