Fernando Da Cruz explains Reeve Frosler midfield role

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has addressed the decision to deploy Reeve Frosler in a midfield role during a recent 1-1 Betway Premiership draw against Stellenbosch FC.

Da Cruz explained that the tactical shift was driven by squad limitations, including injuries to two players and an illness affecting another midfielder. He noted that Frosler’s versatility and aerial strength were key factors in the decision, as the coaching staff sought to improve their presence in headers against a physically imposing Stellenbosch side. The coach added that Frosler had previously been tested in the midfield position during pre-season training.
