Fernando de Paul nears return to Colo Colo

Colo Colo goalkeeper Fernando de Paul is preparing for a return to action following a hamstring injury sustained in April. According to reports, de Paul has begun specific field work and is expected to rejoin full team training in approximately two weeks.

His anticipated return to competitive play is projected for the second or third week of September. This development creates a selection dilemma for manager Fernando Ortiz, as the club currently has several high-level options in goal, including Gabriel Maureira and the Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha.

Vozinha is expected to make his debut for the club soon, potentially appearing on the bench for the upcoming Superclásico against Universidad de Chile and playing in the Copa Chile against Unión Española in late August.
