Fernando Lara releases research on Generation of 27 film writers

Author and former director of the Valladolid International Film Festival, Fernando Lara, has released his new research essay, ‘Hijos del 27. Los escritores cinematográficos de la Generación de la República’, published by Editorial Saco Roto.

The book is the result of three years of investigation prompted by Lara’s previous reflections on the lack of significant Spanish precedents for film critics. Lara aims to identify the overlooked pool of excellent film critics within the Generation of 27 era. He chose to publish the work ahead of the upcoming centenary of the Generation of 27 to avoid competing with the anticipated surge of related publications and activities.
