Fernando Riccardi presented his historical essay, ‘Maria Capitanio. La vera storia di una brigantessa’, at the San Michele Senior Center. The event focused on rediscovering the forgotten role of women in post-unification brigandage, challenging historical stereotypes that often depicted women of that era as merely submissive companions.

Riccardi’s work highlights women as conscious protagonists driven by social and economic inequality. The presentation included a debate where attendees shared family anecdotes related to the period.
