Fernando Rodríguez González retains Coahuila deputy seat

Fernando Rodríguez González remains the sitting deputy in the Coahuila Congress following the withdrawal of an impugnation by Antonio Flores Guerra. The legal challenge, filed with the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF), sought to contest a ruling from the Monterrey Regional Chamber regarding sanctions imposed on Flores Guerra for consecutive absences from legislative sessions.

Because the resource of reconsideration was removed from the agenda during a recent session, the matter remains unresolved and will be addressed at a later date. Consequently, Rodríguez González will continue to hold the seat until a definitive determination is made by the Superior Chamber.
