Ferno to host FilosofArti conference on Francisco Goya

The FilosofArti festival will host a conference titled ‘Goya e il sonno della ragione’ (Goya and the Sleep of Reason) on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Cooperativa San Martino in Ferno.

Speaker Giampaolo Livetti will lead a discussion exploring the works of Spanish painter Francisco Goya. The lecture will examine Goya’s role as a witness to historical shifts, including the French Revolution, the Napoleonic era, and the Restoration. The session aims to connect philosophical reflection with art history, focusing on Goya’s critical perspective on human nature, political ambiguity, and the horrors of war.

The event is part of the ‘Percorsi d’Arte’ series and is organized through a collaboration between the Cooperativa San Martino and the San Paolo VI Pastoral Community.
