Ferran Adrià details new El Bulli series Génesis

Chef Ferran Adrià has shared insights regarding Génesis (Gènesi), a new fictional series about his renowned restaurant, El Bulli. Produced by TV3 and set to release on Netflix on November 20, the series aims to provide a faithful depiction of high cuisine.

Adrià reportedly reviewed the scripts and production approximately 45 times to ensure gastronomic accuracy. He noted that the series seeks to distance itself from chaotic portrayals of kitchens seen in other media, emphasizing instead a professional environment characterized by silence and discipline.

The project was initiated by the Catalan government and TV3 to promote the regional tourism sector. Adrià reflected on the restaurant's evolution, from its early years of financial precariousness and low earnings to its eventual status as a global leader in gastronomy.
