Ferran Torres' PSG Transfer Talks Heat Up as Barcelona Demands €50 million

Paris Saint‑Germain have entered advanced negotiations to sign Barcelona forward Ferran Torres. The French club is reportedly preparing an offer in the €45‑60 million range, while Barcelona have set an asking price of around €50 million. Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said no official confirmation of a deal exists and the club is also considering a contract extension, but a clause in the 2021 transfer agreement with Manchester City would require Barcelona to pay an additional €8 million to City if they renew Torres’ contract. The striker’s current deal runs until June 2027, and Barcelona are keen to retain him for the upcoming season, yet the high renewal cost and the club’s need to fund other signings make a sale attractive. Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a €35 million bid, adding further pressure. PSG’s interest is driven by the recent sale of Gonçalo Ramos and the need for a versatile attacker for Luis Enrique. No final agreement has been reached, and any move is expected to be concluded after the World Cup.
