Ferrara authorities increase school security following student attack
Following a violent incident at Ariosto High School where a 15-year-old student was injured by an intruder armed with a knife, the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security has announced new safety measures.
Presided over by Prefect Massimo Marchesiello, the meeting included local mayors, law enforcement, and educational officials. The proposed measures to increase security around schools include enhanced surveillance, stricter access procedures, and increased vigilance in school surroundings.
To address the psychological impact, the local health authority (Ausl) will implement educational programs focusing on emotional management, relational respect, and addiction prevention, alongside bolstered psychological support services for students.
